Scanner No Longer Communicates with Nisssan Makes

    I have a MaxiDiag JP701. Recently it fails to commicate with Nissan vehicles. Could it be that its Nissan module is corrupted?

    Reply to 1 floor: Thinking back, it seems this problem arose from the fact that I pressed the reset button of the ECM of the Nissan module a while back. Attempts to update with a view to retrieving the module has be futile. Any ideas?

    I am not sure about two things. ...One, the JP701 fails to communicate with all Nissan vehicles? Could you tell me the model year of these cars? .... Two, you said you pressed the reset button of the ECM...You mean the button on JP701? You are doing the ECM reset with JP701?

    Reply to 3 floor: It failed to communicate with my 2003 and 2006 Nissan Maxima, 1999 Nissan Primera, and 2006 M45 Infiniti. Yes, it's the reset button on the JP701, though this is a faint recollection.

    Hmmmm, the model year range from 1999 to 2006. So I think the Nissan program got into some kind of troubles. Sorry this JP701 is an old model, and we don't have update programs for it any more. ..

    Reply to 6 floor: Out of sheer helplessness I looked into the connection cable, and there I discovered that three of the pins had misaligned. I straigtened them and fixed the cable into the DLC. The scanner now communicates with my cars. Many thanks for the response. I guess I can safely upgrade to MD701!.
